Riverland Nursery, Fort Myers, FL

Bugs.  They can be big, tiny, beneficial, harmful or just annoying.  Florida has lots of them.  If you are not paying attention, insects can quickly devastate trees, palms, shrubs, flowers, or lawns.  Bob Cook, an instructor for the Florida Certified Horticulture Professional program, will teach class participants how to identify and control “uninvited” insects, fungus and other garden challenges.

Bob will emphasize using environmentally safe but effective methods for controlling garden pests and maintaining healthy plants.  Bob is a member of the Florida Nurserymen, Growers and Landscape Association (FNGLA). and a Certified Horticulture Professional (FCHP).  He has been teaching those wishing to gain that certification since 1999.  Bob is a passionate gardener with a particular love of growing vegetables.
